When you provide your identity document details to one of our customers, those details may be checked against official records held by the relevant document issuer or government record holder to confirm your identity. This process is carried out through third-party systems operated by BNDRY Pty Ltd on behalf of our customers.
Our customers use BNDRY's identity verification service to confirm the identity of individuals as part of their regulatory and compliance obligations, including obligations under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth). When you provide your identity document details, your information is submitted electronically to the relevant document issuer or official record holder, and a result is returned indicating whether your details match their records. This process may involve the use of third-party service providers who assist in transmitting and processing verification requests on behalf of our customers.
The verification process may involve technology service providers who operate systems used to securely transmit your identification information to and from official record holders. These providers act as agents of the requesting organisation and are bound by contractual and legal obligations regarding the handling of your information.
BNDRY and its customers collect your identification information to meet legal obligations, including customer identification and verification requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Act 2006 (Cth), the Financial Transactions Reports Act 1988 (Cth), and applicable privacy legislation. We are subject to the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and comply with the Australian Privacy Principles.
You have the right to access any personal information we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate information, and lodge a complaint about our handling of your information. You may exercise these rights by contacting us at privacy@identitii.com or by writing to: C/- Boardroom Pty Limited, Level 8, 210 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
If you choose not to consent to the verification of your identity, the organisation requesting verification may be unable to complete your onboarding, provide you with their services, or fulfil their regulatory obligations. The specific consequences will depend on the requirements of the organisation you are dealing with.
Your identification information is collected and used solely for the purpose of verifying your identity. It is not collected, stored, or used beyond what is strictly necessary to perform the verification. Information obtained through the verification process is not used or disclosed for any other purpose, including: creating a profile of you or tracking your behaviour (whether online or offline); offering, supplying, advertising, or promoting goods or services to you; enabling any other person or entity to offer, supply, advertise, or promote goods or services; or conducting market research.
Before your identity document details are submitted for verification, you will be asked to provide your express consent. This consent is obtained separately and is not bundled with any other agreement. The consent statement is: "I confirm that I am authorised to provide the personal details presented and I consent to my information being checked with the document issuer or official record holder via third-party systems for the purpose of confirming my identity."
